Today was my third real day in law school.  I didn't get called on yet, but I'll be sure to be ready when it does happen.
I'm
 feeling pretty good about the whole law school thing in general.  
Nothing is overwhelming yet, I haven't ran across something in which I 
was completely confused about, and the people/competition seem more 
relaxed than envisioned.  I made a couple of new friends since I've been
 here; we go out to restaurants, commiserate, drink, and help each other
 out.  I don't think we'll have too many more opportunities to do the 
fun things, but it's a good thing since I'm afraid that I'll run out of 
money.
My apartment isn't as bad I might have made it out to be 
earlier.  My only complaint is that the main street running by the place
 isn't pedestrian friendly, and that it's a 10 minute drive on the 
freeway every morning to school.  Nonetheless, the real positive about 
the place is a restaurant nearby called Etna.  It's a sit down Italian 
restaurant open till 2am in the morning on weeknights, and till 3am on 
Weekends.  Etna has great pizza, and in my experience what is the best 
Italian food in general.  The kicker is that it's moderately priced 
across the board.  I hope Michelle will come to visit me this weekend, 
so that I can take her there again.
San Diego's a great town to 
be in, and I think I'll enjoy my year here.  If they successfully turn 
my apartment complex into condos, and I'll be forced to move, I'll move 
to a place that's closer and busier (month to month or 6 month lease of 
course).  No matter what happens, I want to do my best this year.  And 
if the opportunity to transfer presents itself, I'll take that into 
consideration.
